If you belong to a book discussion group or would like to
start one, you’re invited to check out our selection of book discussion kit
titles. Each kit
contains multiple copies of a title and a master book
discussion guide. Funding for this collection was provided by the Friends of
the Manitowoc Public Library.
Book Discussion Kit Policy
Book discussion kits may be checked out for 6 weeks. They may not be
renewed.
Kits must be reserved by calling 920-683-4863, ext. 307,
or by emailing mplref@mcls.lib.wi.us, in advance so
that the kits can be prepared for you. [If you are not a resident of
Manitowoc County or Calumet County, please contact your local library to
borrow the kits through Interlibrary Loan.]
Kits are checked out to one person. Members of the group should get
their copies from that member of their group. You may not check out a
single copy of a book in a kit. Teacher cards and specialized borrowers cards can be used to check out a kit.
No more than two kits at a time may be checked out to an
individual.
Overdue book discussion kits will be fined $1.00 a day per kit.
Kits must be returned to the Circulation Dept. desk while the
library is open (the containers will not fit through the 24-hour drop box
slots).
